The driving force behind our firm is our visionary founder. With experience as a Managing Partner at a large provincial firm and a deep network within the legal world, he recognised the challenges plaguing the profession.

You can join us as a partner or a consultant (slightly different considerations apply for joining as a partner), but both are remunerated on a similar basis, where essentially the same terms apply to everyone.
You will be paid:
- 70% of the paid fees from work you produce;
- 60% of the paid fees from work we (or a colleague) pass to you; or
- 10% of the paid fees from work you pass to a colleague.
Simple, consistent and transparent.
With us, you will predominantly work remotely, but wherever that may be is up to you.
One of our core principles is to provide excellent advice and service to clients.
Provided you deliver excellent client service and advice, you are free to set your own hours and working days. Want to take an extended holiday; we’ll support you by covering your work and returning your clients to you when you return; no nicking/no poaching.
You will not be required to have management responsibility, so will not be expected to attend meetings/supervise juniors etc (unless you want to!). This alone, for those who currently operate at Partner or senior level, will see a huge saving of your time.

If you are worried about moving from the perceived safety of a bigger firm/salaried role, we can support you in the transition. In our experience clients will follow good lawyers and, generally, more work follows and finds you than you may expect. If not, we are there to help with marketing support, as the other tab explains. We want to make your time with us as successful as you want it to be, so are here to help you; whether that’s help with marketing, a business plan or passing work to you.
As for whether we might be the right firm for you, we encourage you to meet and get to know us, and to take your time (we’re not going anywhere). You need to feel comfortable that joining us is your next long-term career move, but we too will be keenly focused on whether we will think it will work and, if we don’t think it will, we will say so and be honest about why.
If you join and (in the unlikely event) decide it’s not right for you, you are free to leave and take your clients, as we do not restrict you taking clients you bring to the firm. We would also want to part company on good terms, and will respect your decision with no hard feelings.
